Anaren, Inc. was founded in 1967 by Hugh A. Hair and Carl W. Gerst Jr. in East Syracuse, New York, USA. The company started as a supplier of microwave components and subassemblies for the defense electronics market. Over the decades, Anaren has evolved into a leading innovator of standard and custom microwave and RF technology. The company's core business areas include high-frequency electronics for aerospace, defense, wireless infrastructure, and medical applications. Anaren's product portfolio includes a wide range of RF and microwave components such as couplers, dividers, baluns, filters, and integrated assemblies. Notable product lines include the Xinger® brand of passive components, which are compact surface-mount devices offering excellent performance up to millimeter-wave frequencies. The company also designs and manufactures ceramic-based multilayer organic (MLO) technologies for high-density interconnects and antenna solutions. Anaren's custom design capabilities enable it to provide complex microwave integrated assemblies for radar, electronic warfare, and satellite communications. In the global RF/microwave components market, Anaren is recognized for its engineering expertise and high-reliability solutions. In 2018, Anaren was acquired by TTM Technologies, expanding its reach as part of a larger aerospace and defense electronics provider.
