Aries Electronics, Inc. was founded in 1972 when William 'Bill' Sinclair acquired the back panel line from Thomas & Betts Corporation. Headquartered in Frenchtown, New Jersey, USA, the company specializes in innovative interconnect and packaging solutions for the electronics industry. Its initial product line comprised IC sockets, headers, and printed circuit cards, which soon expanded into a comprehensive portfolio of packaging products. Core products include a wide variety of sockets, headers and covers, programmable devices, jumper and cable assemblies, as well as high-temperature and flexible cable solutions. Aries is recognized as the industry leader in Zero-Insertion-Force (ZIF) test sockets for DIP, PGA, PLCC, and SOIC devices. The innovative Correct-A-Chip® product line provides intelligent connectors and adapters that incorporate passive and active components, enabling different termination styles on a single board. In recent years, the company has made significant advances in ball grid array (BGA) and land grid array (LGA) sockets, holding several patented concepts. Aries further strengthened its test socket market position by acquiring a high-frequency test and burn-in socket line.
