Power-One, Inc. was founded in 1973 and headquartered in Camarillo, California, USA. It is one of the world's ten largest providers of power conversion and power management solutions. The company focuses on converting utility-grade AC power into various DC voltages required by high-availability infrastructure. Its core product lines include AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters, and renewable energy inverters. Specific series such as the 'Novum' digital point-of-load converters, high-efficiency rectifiers like the 'SCP' series, and solar inverters including the 'Trio' and 'Uno' families showcase its technological breadth. Power-One served telecom, datacom, industrial, and renewable energy markets. The company was recognized for its industry-leading efficiency levels, often exceeding 95% in its rectifier products. In 2013, it was acquired by ABB for approximately $1 billion, becoming part of ABB's Power Conversion division. Before the acquisition, Power-One held a strong market position, particularly in high-efficiency power systems for critical infrastructure.
