Quatech, Inc. is a designer and manufacturer of high-performance device networking and connectivity solutions, originally founded in 1983 and headquartered in Hudson, Ohio, USA. The company specializes in enabling reliable machine-to-machine communications for industrial and commercial applications via secure 802.11 wireless or traditional wired networks. Quatech’s product portfolio includes industrial-grade embedded radios, RF modules, board-level solutions, external device servers, and network bridges. One of its core product lines is the Airborne™ wireless device server series, providing Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity for remote equipment. The company also offers serial-to-Ethernet device servers and USB/serial adapters under the QSE and ESC families, ensuring port expansion and secure data transmission. Quatech’s solutions are widely used in transportation, healthcare, retail, and industrial automation sectors. In 2011, Quatech was acquired by B&B Electronics, which later became B+B SmartWorx. Subsequently, in 2015, B+B SmartWorx was acquired by Advantech Co., Ltd., forming the Advantech IIoT Group. Today, Quatech’s products are integrated into Advantech’s comprehensive industrial IoT connectivity portfolio, leveraging decades of expertise in rugged, reliable communication technologies. Quatech is recognized as a pioneer in industrial wireless M2M communication, with a strong reputation for secure, hardened solutions.
