STMicroelectronics N.V., commonly known as ST, was formed in 1987 through the merger of Italian SGS Microelettronica and French Thomson Semiconducteurs. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, it is one of the largest semiconductor companies globally. The company went public in 1994 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: STM), Euronext Paris, and Borsa Italiana in Milan. STMicroelectronics serves customers across a broad spectrum of electronics applications with innovative semiconductor solutions.
